No fewer than 47 people, were reportedly killed, on Wednesday in head-on collision between a bus and a truck at Talo in Lome, Togo.
A government official who, made this known, said 16 other people were seriously injured in the crash.
The official said that 15 of those killed were Burkinabe nationals, one Nigerian and 31 Togolese.
He said the accident occurred when a 56-seater bus collided with a heavy truck, leading to multiple crashes.
Reports revealed that this is the third fatal road accident in the African country this year, where roads are poor and vehicles often overloaded with people and goods.
It would be recalled that in February, 18, several people reportedly died in an accident while 50 others sustained various degrees of injuries.
