A woman was detained by police after she took an April Fools’ Day prank too far by joking she had shot and killed her husband.Susan Tammy Hudson was looking for laughs on April 1 like many others who played pranks on that day but the Kingsport police department in Tennessee didn’t see the funny side of her lie she had murdered her other half.She had called her sister Helen to tell her about the terrible deed and somehow the information got to the police.‘I was just doing an April Fools’s Day joke,’ Hudson said.Susan Hudson was detained by police after she joked she’d killed her husband as an April Fools’ Day joke (Picture: YouTube)
‘I said: “Helen, I shot my husband, I’m cleaning up the mess, let’s go bury him”.’When police turned up to investigate the emergency call at 713 Union Hill Road she told them she was just pulling their leg, and moments later her husband, who wasn’t in on the joke, arrived.We’re not sure if the woman expected the officers to burst out in laughter but this wasn’t the case and the law men proceeded to slap handcuffs on the prankster.Hudson did not get arrested but after this episode she is unlikely to joke she has killed a family member again (or tell them if she has).
