Top Nollywood actresses, Joke Silva, Bimbo Akintola, Taiwo Ajai-Lycett, Iretiola Doyle and others on May 14, Wednesday, entertained a large audience at Mushin Market in Lagos with their stage play, 'Hear Word'.

Despite the fact that it started to rain, the actresses continued in their thrilling market show which attracted a large crowd.
'Hear Word', directed by Ifeoma Fafunwa, is a play, which explores the challenges everyday Nigerian women face.

It will be staged at the MUSON Center in Lagos on May 17th 23rd, 24th, 30th and 31st 2014.
The stage drama will feature Nollywood actresses like Taiwo Ajai-Lycett, Joke Silva, Iretiola Doyle, Bimbo Akintola, Elvina Ibru, Kate Henshaw, Dakore Egbuson Akande, Ufuoma McDermott, Rita Edwards, Zara Ejoh, Debbie Ohiri, Odenike and several others.

It would showcase true stories of triumph from 20 different Nigerian women from all walks of life.

According to the producer/director, Ifeoma Fafunwa, Hear Word is where the highest quality of performance art comes together to express the potential of Nigerian women.
She said, "We are working towards pure art and Nigerian excellence as we highlight these real and difficult issues facing Nigerian women.
"It is a celebration of the Nigerian woman to be shared with the world. As the characters reveal themselves, you may recognize your sister, your mother, your friend, your wife and perhaps even yourself."
