It was further stated that the injured persons were rushed to a private hospital in the neighbourhood for medical attention.
Newsmen gathered from residents in the area that the swampy nature of the locality could have led to the building collapse.
The state Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Mr. Bade Omoloja, said the building was not approved and that orders had been given on two occasions to stop its construction.
He said: “It is tragic that we just lost two boys and three others are in critical condition due to negligence and stubbornness of designers and engineers.”

Also, Commissioner for Works, Mr. Adegboye Adegbenro, stated that it was a structural failure that caused the collapse.
As at the time of compiling this report, no official statement has been released by the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA.
It could be recalled that cases of collapsed building have been rampant in many parts of the country recently.
