The 23-year-old former Rutgers player, who got paralyzed from the neck down in 2010 during one of the games, encouraged his fellow graduates to move further saying:
"I'm moving my shoulders here. I'm moving myself forward. Don't ever let someone tell you you can't do something!"
The former sportsman is now able to breathe on his own and stand upright with the help of a metal frame.
While addressing the big cheering crowd he also added:
"Anything is truly possible in this world."
After the LeGrand's speech the event's keynote speaker, New Jersey Gov. Tom Kean, ordered his speaking fee to be used to establish a scholarship fund in honor of LeGrand graduating class.
